On Sunday, June 30th, 2024, an Open Day was organised at the Świętokrzyskie Agricultural Advisory Center in Modliszewice. As part of this event, the 17th Świętokrzyska Breeding Animal Exhibition was held, in which Holstein-Friesian and Jersey cows from Michałów participated. Modliszewice in connection with the exhibition and Open Day were visited by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski, who decorated the best animals and emphasized that it was not only a farmers’ festival, but also of the young generation.
The assessment of farm animals began on Saturday, which was an internal day. Also on Saturday, the jury chose champions and superchampions among the cattle that were decorated on Sunday. During this year’s exhibition in Świętokrzyskie, the cows of Michałów Stud were successful. The cow Humana 31 received not only the title of champion in the Holstein-Friesian breed, but also the title of super champion of the exhibition, while Werbena 72 was honored with the title of champion in the Jersey breed.
Sunday was certainly a great success for the Michałów cows. It is worth mentioning that milk from Jersey cows is very special because of its fat content. Thus when visiting Michałów, you can see not only beautiful Arabian horses, but also titled cows.
