On 13-15 August, due to tradition, the 43rd National Arabian Horse Show took place at the Janów Podlaski Stud. 24 horses bred and owned by Michałów Stud took part in the fight for medals and entering the championships.
On Friday’s 4B class we saw three yearling colts already known to the public from the Białka Spring Show. Two of them, PORTO RICO (Złoty Medal x Parmania / Kahil Al Shaqab) presented by Artur Łojowski and EL MAESTRO (Morion x El Medonia / Shanghai EA) led by Paweł Syliwoniuk, guaranteed their participation in the final championship, taking second and third place respectively. The third of our young representatives, ZŁOTY OWOC, son of stallion FORMAN (Wachlarz x Formia / Gazal Al Shaqab) and ZŁOTA OLZA (Kahil Al Shaqab x Złota Orcha / Ekstern) took fifth place in the class.
In the next 5-year-old colts class, the phenomenal FERRUM (Morion x Ferrmaria / El Omari) did not disappoint with his performance, scoring 92.80 points, including three “20”. FERRUM took first place, outclassing his rivals, similar to his stable mate POINTER (Sahm El Arab x Palanga / Ekstern) in the 3-year-old stallions class.
On Friday, we also saw the stallion ZŁOTY MEDAL (QR Marc x Złota Orda / Pesal) in the ring, famous for his offsprings who are successful in the show rings. The ZŁOTY MEDAL finished the competition in the class on third position, scoring 91.00 points.
Saturday was as usual full of exciting competition in the mare classes. In the 1B class ZŁOTA MYŚL (Equator x Złota Bulla / Kahil Al Shaqab) won with a score of 91.80 points. In the next class, EL MARIELLA (Morion x El Marina / Ganges) was third in the same age category, scoring 91.50 points, and EMIREMIA (Morion x Emblema / Chimeryk) was ranked 6th with a score of 90.30 points.
Three representatives of Michałów Stud took part in the 2-year-old fillies category. FORGA (Morion x Forgissima / Vitorio TO) won in class 2A, beating their rivals with a score of 92.30 points. In the next class, PUSTYNNA LILIA (Złoty Medal x Pustynna Kalia / Esparto) and EL MEDIDA (Morion x El Medara / Eryks) took second and fourth place, respectively.
The grey EL ESMERA (Sahm El Arab x Esmeraldia / QR Marc) was very successful in the 3-year-old fillies class, finally receiving 92.60 points, including three “20” for type, two “20” for head and neck.
In the next two classes of 4-6 year-old mares we admired the excellent EL BELLISIMA (Ascot DD x Ekliptyka / Ekstern), who delighted the judges and received 93.80 points, including a set of “20” for type. In the same class, her stable friend WIEŻA TAJEMNIC (Ascot DD x Tower of Dreams / Ekstern) came third with a score of 92.90 points. Another class 7B was dominated by mares from Michałow State Stud. The first place was taken by the perfectly moving daughter of EKSTERN, PROTEKCJA, with a very high score of 94.40 points. Right behind her, with a score of 0.10 points less, was POGANINKA (El Omari x Pentra / Poganin), and EMADONNA (Ascot DD x Emanorissa / Abha Qatar) was third. In this class we also saw EMDRONA (Medalion x Elgora / Poganin) in the ring, which finally came in 4th place.
In the next two classes of 7-10 year old mares we saw WILDONA (Shanghai EA x Wilda / Gazal Al Shaqab) and FOGGARA (Ganges x Foggia / Gazal Al Shaqab). The mares took 2nd and 6th place respectively in classes 8A and 8B.
The last Saturday class of 11-year-old mares and older was a real feast for Arabian horse lovers. The best Polish mares were presented in the ring. MESALINA (Ekstern x Mata Hari / Werbum) finished 5th in this class, while our 19-year-old PALANGA (Ekstern x Panika / Eukaliptus) turned out to be invincible, which was the announcement of another unforgettable emotions.
As many as 14 horses bred and owned by Michałów State Stud were qualified for the Sunday Championships.
ZŁOTA MYŚL (Equator x Złota Bull / Kahil Al Shaqab) won silver medal iin Yearling Fillies Championship, EL MAESTRO (Morion x El Medonia / Shanghai EA) won the bronze medal in the Yearling Colts Championship, and PORTO RICO (Złoty Medal x Parmania / Kahil Al Shaqab) got TOP FIVE title. EL ESMERA (Sahm El Arab x Esmeraldia / QR Marc) and FORGA (Morion x Forgissima / Vitorio TO) won the TOP FIVE titles in the Junior Mare Championship. The Junior Colts Championship was won by the unrivaled FERRUM (Morion x Ferrmaria / El Omari), while POINTER (Sahm El Arab x Palanga / Ekstern) won a bronze medal.
The Senior Mares Championship was an amazing show full of emotions. The best representatives of Arabian horses were gathered in the ring.
The TOP FIVE title went to WILDONA (Shanghai EA x Wilda / Gazal Al Shaqab) and the entire podium was dominated by Michałów State Stud mares. The bronze medal was awarded to EL BELLISIMA (Ascot DD x Ekliptyka / Ekstern), the silver one to PROTEKCJA (Ekstern x Pentra / Poganin), and the title of the National Senior Champion Mare was deservedly awarded to the 19-year-old PALANGA (Ekstern x Panika / Eukaliptus), which turned out to be unbeatable. PALANGA also received Special Award for the Highest Score of the show, Best Movement, and the Best in Show Pure Polish Award funded by the PZHKA.
Moreover, PALANGA was honored with the WAHO TROPHY, which is awarded to outstanding representatives of the breed.
Izabella Pawelec-Zawadzka Award for the best young stallion went to FERRUM (Morion x Ferrmaria / El Omari).
The Michałów State Stud won Best Breeder Award.
The best trainer and presenter of the show was Paweł Syliwoniuk, who decided to hand over the prizes to Mateusz Tokarski, his friend from the Janów Podlaski State Stud.
