Breeders, owners and lovers of Arabian horses spent last weekend in Tarnów, where the All-Polish Arabian Horse Championships were held once again – this time in a changed formula. Michałów Stud was represented by 15 horses and our staff was again supported by the duo Nicola and Enrico Mearelli from Elegantica Training Center. The effort put in together resulted in returning with as many as 8 medals and the title of Best Mare of the Show.
Saturday began with the struggles in the junior classes. A successful debut was scored by the yearling filly ZAZZERA (KA Nabras – Zigi Zana / QR Marc), who confidently won her class. Good performances belonged to the rest of Michałów’s yearlings who took the whole podium of the next class. The winner was EPIFORANA (Mutabahi Al Hawajer – Espana / QR Marc), who scored as many as 4 x 20 points for movement and her total score was 92,1 points. Second place was won by FIDELIA (Petrus PA – Fortecja / El Omari) with a score of 91.2 points, and the podium was closed by WIOSENNA PRZYGODA (KA Nabras – Wiosenna Róża / Empire), who scored 90.8 points.

In the yearling colts’ classes both AARON (KA Nabras – Anielka / Ekstern), winning 2nd place with a score of 90,4 points and ZŁOTY POTOK (KA Nabras – Złota Wstęga / Empire), making his debut in the show rings, just like his predecessor, also won 2nd place in the class with an almost identical score – 90,2 points.
Another class with horses from Michałów was the B class of two-year-old mares. The first place with a score of 91.0 points was won by PUSTYNNA ZORZA (Ptolemeusz – Pustynna Palma / El Omari), closely followed by DALBERGIA (Ferrum – Daggara / Empire), who was rated 90.9 points. Fourth place went to EL MAHMALA (Prometeusz – El Medonia / Shanghai E.A.) with a score of 90.7 points.

In the class of three-year-old mares we could cheer on PUSTYNA WIKTORIA (Dominic M – Pustynia Kaila / Kahil Al Shaqab), whose performance with a score of 91.2 points gave her second place.
The last horse presented by the Michałów team on Saturday afternoon was the two-year-old PARTES (Dominic M – Protekcja / Ekstern) who took third place in his class with a score of 89.5 points.
The next hot day started with the senior mares competing. In the first class for 4-6 year old mares, LABONITA (Dominic M – Lakonia / Chimeryk) confidently won the class with a score of 92.3.

The next class brought even more excitement to the Michalow fans. The phenomenal performance of the mare WILDANOVA (WH Justice – Wilda / Gazal Al Shaqab) was the beginning of her most successful start in her career. She was rated with 93.0 points, which was the highest score of the entire show! It is also worth mentioning that she scored a set of points for movement, with which she beat her outstandingly moving stablemate POGANINKA (El Omari – Pentra / Paganin), who this time had to acknowledge Wildanova’s superiority and settle for 2nd place, despite a very high score of 92.9 points.

An equally successful return to the show ring belonged to EL MEDARA (Shanghai E.A. – El Emeera / Ekstern), who took 2nd place in class with a score of 92 points.

The first of the championships held – the Yearling Fillies Championship – belonged entirely to Michałów horses. The Champion became EPIFORANA (Mutabahi Al Hawajer – Espana / QR Marc), the title of Reserve Champion went to ZAZZERA (KA Nabras – Zigi Zana / QR Marc) and the podium was closed by WIOSENNA PRZYGODA (KA Nabras – Wiosenna Róża / Empire).
Another, this time bronze medals for Michałów were won by AARON (KA Nabras – Anielka / Ekstern) winning the title of 2nd Vice-Champion of the Yearling Colts and PUSTYNIA WIKTORII (Dominic M – Pustynia Kahila / Kahil Al Shaqab) who was chosen 2nd Vice-Champion of the Junior Fillies.
The most awaited final was dominated by Michałów’s mares. The Senior Champion Mare and Best Mare of the Show was awarded to WILDANOVA (WH Justice – Wilda / Gazal Al Shaqab), the title of Reserve Champion Mare went to POGANINKA (El Omari – Pentra / Pognin) and the Bronze Medal and Reserve Champion Mare title went to LABONITA (Dominic M – Lakonia / Chimeric). Among the prizes for the best mare of the show was a watercolour depicting a mare with foal funded by the author of the work, Małgorzata Świertok.

The successes achieved by our horses would not have been possible without the enormous amount of work put in by the entire team at Michalow Stud and the trainers working with us this year, for which we would like to thank everyone.
