ECHARON is one of the best racehorses of recent years with Polish roots.
He raced 21 times over 3 seasons, winning three times and placing in the money in many stake races (incl. the Derby, Criterium and Janów Podlaski St.).
ECHARON’s pedigree is full of racing horses. His sire is ONTARIO HF, a classic Pure Polish horse bred in the US, whose dam and sire derive from Polish families. ONTARIO’s sire is the phenomenal racehorse and sire of racehorses – MONARCH AH, son of WIKING (the best racehorse sire in the US) and the mare SASANKA – from the famous Janów Podlaski “S” racing line. On his dam’s side ONTARIO belongs to another racing line of Janów Podlaski, stemming from the mare ORLA. ONTARIO’s dam, HF ORZONNA, is the winner of the American Oaks. ONTARIO himself, during his three season career, raced 22 times, winning eight, including four stakes.
On the distaff side of ECHARON’s pedigree we have the Oaks winner ESTEPONA. His granddam is a daughter of DRUID, the best racehorse of the 90s, winner of 13 races, including the Derby, Janów Podlaski St., Criterium St. (twice), Europa Cup (twice) and defeated at the end of his career by… WILIAM, the sire of ECHARON’s dam. In turn WILIAM won 7 races, including the Derby, Criterium St. and Janów Podlaski St.
