On 26-27 October our horses took part in the European Championship held in Lier, Belgium.
On Saturday we could admire the performances of young horses. The first to enter the ring was the milky grey WILDONARA (Paris – Wildona / Shanghai E.A.). With a score of 91.80 points and two “20s”, one for type and one for movement, she won the class, defeating the later champion of junior mares, the chestnut GLORYANA (Pandorez O – Psafeena / Psynergy). Third place in the same class was taken by the bay PUSTYNIA WIKTORII (Dominic M – Pustynia Kahila / Kahil Al Shaqab) with a score of 90.65 points.
In the yearling colts class, PARTES (Dominic M – Protekcja / Ekstern) performed, who with a score of 90.05 points took third place in the class.
In the last class of the day – 7-9 year old mares, only two participants fought for victory – POGANINKA (El Omari – Pentra / Emigrant) and PUSTYNNA DOLINA (Kahil Al Shaqab – Pustynna Rosa / Ekstern). This time, Poganinka, known from the show rings, had to give way, although only by 0.05 points, to her stablemate Pustynna Dolina, who was making her debut at an event of this rank. Although it was Pustynna Dolina’s first foreign appearance in her career, she delighted the judges with her extraordinary beauty, winning two “20s” for type with a final result of 92.75 points. We are glad that despite the many adversities that stand in the way of this outstanding mare, she was finally able to present herself to the international audience. The reliable Poganinka, as usual, impressed with her outstanding movement, as only one of the five judges did not give her a “20”.
Sunday morning began with competition in the class of 10-year-old and older mares, in which EMANDILLA (Om El Shahmaan – Espadrilla / Monogramm) with a score of 91.35 points won 4th place in the class. The second was the Michałów-bred PUSTYNNA NOC (WH Kaneko MS – Pustynna Rosa / Ekstern), who with an impressive score of 93.35 points and three “20s” for type and one “20” for movement, had to give way only to Janów’s ADELITA (Kahil Al Shaqab – Altamira / Ekstern).
In the next two classes, our gentlemen competed – EL BRILLO (Morion – El Larinera / Empire) finished his performance among 4-6-year-old stallions in 5th place with a score of 89.75 points, and ZŁOTY MEDAL (QR Marc – Złota Orda / Pesal) with 91.10 points won promotion to the championship with a 3rd result in the class of 7-year-old and older stallions.
In the championships, we showed 6 horses, but only the two-year-old WILDONARA won the judges’ recognition, who returned home with the title of Second Vice-European Junior Mare Champion. Pustynna Dolina received three votes for bronze and Złoty Medal one indication for silver, but it was not enough to stand on the podium of the European Championship. The stud farm belonging to Nathalie de Haes achieved a huge success, thanks to the silver European Champion Pustynna Noc bred in Michałów. Congratulations!
Our reliable team, as always, rose to the challenge, wonderfully preparing the horses for this demanding performance, for which we thank them very much!
And soon the last show for our horses this year – the World Championship in Paris…
