As for many years, two racing weekends are held in July at the Sopot Hippodrome. At this time, there is a summer break in Wrocław and no races are held until August 11th. After the Derby Gala on July 7th, the Służewiec track also did not plan any races until July 27th, so as not to compete with the Sopot Hippodrome.
Of course, the Michałów horses do not rest and continue to work hard under the watchful eye of their trainers.
This year, trainers from Partynice entered Michałów’s Arabians for two weekends in Sopot: July 13-14 and July 20-21.
Saturday July 13th, 2024 – Race Day 1
There were 7 races held that day, two of which were held for purebred Arabian horses.
In the last, 7th race of the day, for 3-year-old purebred Arabian horses of the 2nd group, three horses from Michałów took part: Złota Aura (Morion – Złotna/ El Omari) – trained by Wiesław Kryszyłowicz and ridden by Małgorzata Kryszyłowicz, Elluna (Woronin – El Larinera/ Empire) in training with Justyna Domańska, ridden by Saznhar Abayev, and Erast (Golden Medal – Emfiria/ Empire) from the stable of trainer Robert Swiatek, ridden that day by Marsel Zholchubekov.
All of them finished the race in the money. Złota Aura reached the post second, followed by Erast (4th) and Elluna (5th).
Sunday, July 14th, the second racing day in Sopot, brought more luck to Michałów horses, who took part in two races for purebred Arabian horses.
In race 5, for the KOWR (National Support Center for Agriculture) Cup for 3-year-old purebred Arabian horses of the 2nd group, over a distance of 1600 m, the previously predicted bay Echistka (Ganges – Echala/ DA Adios) turned out to be unrivaled. The filly was led to an easy victory by her trainer Małgorzata Kryszyłowicz. Just behind her, another Michałów mare crossed the post, it was Pustynna Aria (El Omari – Pustynna Malwa/Ektern), ridden by Oliwia Szarłat and trained by Robert Świątek. The fourth and fifth places were taken by Delikt (Morion – Diara/ Eryks) (4) – trainer Małgorzata Kryszyłowicz, rider Zamudin Uulu, Pustynia Serc (Al Ayal AA – Pustynia Kahila/ Kahil Al. Shaqab) (5) – in the colors of Justyna Domańska’s stable, ridden by Sanzhar Abayev.
In race 7 for 4-year-old and older purebred Arabian horses of group IV (PASB) (1600 m), Echeveria (Severus – Echeta/ KA Czubuthan) – trainer Wiesław Kryszyłowicz, rider Małgorzata Kryszyłowicz, took part, and eventually took fourth place.
After the success of the first Sopot racing weekend, trainers focused on more horses.
The 3rd racing day (July 20) in Sopot was another success for Michałów horses.
Eight horses took part in Saturday’s special race for the KOWR Cup, of which two entered fillies came from Michałów Stud: the chestnut El Marinera by Wares out of a beautiful female Ganges mare, El Marina, and Polish Champion Yearling Mare Labonita (Dominic M – Lakonia/ Chimeryk). Both trained under the supervision of Wiesław Kryszyłowicz. Both fillies fought brilliantly, but Małgorzata Kryszyłowicz very responsibly led El Marinera at a distance and immediately attacked after coming out of the curve. Labonita tried to keep up with her stablemate in the last meters, but El Marinera, despite making her debut on the track, turned out to be better than Labonita, easily winning the race for the KOWR Cup, and Labonita took second place.
On the 4th race day, another show regular, the bay Mahima (El Omari – Mahira/ Ekstern), trained by Robert Świątek and ridden by Oliwia Szarłat, took part in the 3rd race of the day, intended for 3-year-old purebred Arabian horses of the II group (PASB) (1600 m) and took the predicted fourth place.
These were certainly very successful two racing weekends. Sopot always welcomes enthusiasts of horse attractions in large numbers, and horses from Michałów Stud, trained in Wrocław, also feel great at the Baltic Sea Hippodrome.

Ahead of us is the most important race of the year for 4-year-old purebred Arabian horses – the ARABIAN DERBY, which will be held at Służewiec next weekend, on July 28 at 4 p.m.
