Junior Spring Championship in blooming Białka

On June 8-9th, 2024, at Białka Stud, supervised by Małopolska Hodowla Roślin Sp. z o. o. the 34th Junior Spring Arabian Horse Show took place. Owners and trainers from all over Poland entered 92 horses for the show. Ultimately, 8 less appeared in the arena.

The organizers planned all the classes for Saturday. It is quite a challenge for the judges, ring master, presenters and the entire group of people working to prepare the horses to ensure that everything goes according to schedule, without delays and mistakes. However, the experience, commitment, cooperation and excellent condition of the presenters helped them meet the challenge.

A total of 12 horses were entered from Michałów Stud: 3 colts and 9 fillies.

For Michałów, the show began on Saturday morning with the yearling colt classes, in which three colts were presented:

EGNER (Prometeusz – Emdrona/ Medalion)

PALAFIT (AJ Azzam – Palanga/ Ekstern)

PARTES (Dominic M – Protekcja/ Ekstern)

PARTES (Dominic M – Protekcja/ Ekstern)

Unfortunately, two yearlings from Michałów competed against each other in the first class. In the judges’ eyes Partes deserved first place, while Palafit finished third. Both colts qualified for Sunday’s championships.

In section B of the yearling colts class, Egner took second place, just behind Comoros from Janów, who later became the champion of the yearling colts.

The Stud had no representatives this year in the two- and three-year-old classes. Our three-year-olds are currently undergoing training at the racing track.

After the break, the yearling fillies classes, awaited by the audience, began and were, as always, well attended. A total of 31 yearling fillies took part in three sections. Artur Łojowski presented 5 fillies from Michałów, and they were:

ADDENDA (Erantis – Apolonia/ Ekstern)

DALBERGIA (Ferrum – Daggara/ Empire)

EL CORTINADA (Erantis – El Larinera/ Emprire)

EL MAHMALA (Prometeusz – El Medonia/ Shanghai E.A.)

PERLITA (Erantis – Pustynia Kahila/ Kahil Al Shaqab)

PERLITA (Erantis – Pustynia Kahila/ Kahil Al Shaqab)

Perlita and El Mahmala entered the championship from second places in class.

Four fillies were entered into the 2-year-old fillies classes, which were ultimately divided into three groups:

ELEGANTIA (AJ Azzam – Ellissima/ Albedo)

LIVORNA (AJ Azzam – Liguria/ El Omari)

PUSTYNIA WIKTORII (Dominic M – Pustynia Kahila/ Kahil Al Shaqab)

WILDONARA (Paris – Wildona/ Shanghai E.A.)

WILDONARA (Paris – Wildona/ Shanghai E.A.)

Wildonara is the daughter of the outstanding Wildona. Knowing how the dam looks like, it is easy to imagine what her daughter will look like in a few years. Already at the age of two, she is almost milky white and carries herself in the arena like a real ballerina. This presence earned her the judges’ approval and first place in her class with a score of 91.63 points. Of course, this gave her the right to take part in the championship.

Another filly that qualified for the championship was the excellent moving Elegantia, which received two “20s” for movement and a final score of 92.00 points.

After the beautiful weather on Saturday, Sunday morning was not optimistic. Unfortunately, the forecast came true and it rained heavily for several hours. Fortunately, an hour before the planned championships, the sky calmed down and the sun even showed up.

Despite the information in the catalog that 5 horses would be awarded in each championship, only 3 titles were given: the gold, silver and bronze champion.

The bay Partes (Dominic M – Protekcja/ Ekstern) won the silver medal and the title of Yearling Reserve Champion Colt.

The second medal for Michałów was also silver, this time for the filly Elegantia (AJ Azzam – Ellissima/ Albedo), who additionally received a special award for the best movement of the show.

We would like to congratulate Mr. Marek Rzepka from Klikowa Arabians on the silver medal for the colt Elon KL, who is the son of the Michałów mare Erigone by Ekstern.

The junior championshipa in Białka were the first of a series of shows for Arabian horses this year, the next one at which you will be able to see horses from Michałów will take place in less than a month in Tarnów.
