PALANGA, the precious pearl of Polish breeding, celebrated a round birthday

The stunning snow-white PALANGA, representing the dam line of GAZELLA DB, celebrated her 20^th birthday on 15^th March. She surely is one of the best daughters of the epochal EKSTERN and out of the fantastic flea-bitten PANIKA by EUKALIPTUS. Special in every possible way, PANIKA was born with a large bloody mark on the right side of her head, which according to the Bedouin legends happened only to exceptional horses. Before being sold to Saudi Arabia in 2011 for 125 thousand euro, PANIKA left in Michałów some outstanding offspring, with PALANGA being the most cherished and decorated of her get.

PALANGA’s show career was nothing but impressive. Ever since she was a young filly, she has kept enchanting the judges of the most prestigious shows and hence becoming European Champion Junior Filly in Verona in 2003 and a year after Polish National Vicechampion Junior Filly, giving place on the podium only to the unbeaten Janów Podlaski-bred PIANISSIMA. Her show career as a senior mare resulted in twice Polish National Vicechampion, European Vicechampion and All Nations Cup Vicechampion titles and finished in 2021 in great style when as a 19-year-old mare PALANGA became Polish National Champion Senior Mare, Best in Show as well as won some additional prizes, including the prestigious WAHO Trophy awarded to the remarkable representatives of the Arabian breed.

Apart from numerous trophies, PALANGA has gifted Michałów with precious progeny, including PADOVA by GALBA, sold in 2011 for 80 thousand euro to Qatar, PARANTELLA by KAHIL AL SHAQAB, one of Michałów broodmares, as well as Polish National Silver Champion Yearling Colt and Polish National Bronze Champion Junior Colt POINTER by SAHM EL ARAB. While on lease to Knocke Arabians of Belgium, PALANGA crossed with the World Champion QR MARC, gave a charismatic grey stallion PAVOROTTO KA, exported to Rohara Arabians in the USA.
