Last weekend, we competed in our last show of the season – the European Championship. We brought home six medals from Bedizzole – two gold, three silver, one bronze and the title of Best Breeder, proving once again that the cooperation between the Michałów team and the Elegantcia Training Centre, consisting of Nicola and Enrico Mearelli and Fillipo Lanzi, brings very good results.
We started Saturday’s competition with very good performances by yearling fillies. This time, EPIFORANA (Mutabahi Al Hawajer – Espana / QR Marc) proved to be the best, confidently winning her class with the highest score among yearling fillies, 92.40. The grey ZANELLA (Mutabahi Al Hawajer – Zigi Zara / Shanghai E.A.) placed third in the same class with a score of 90.80 points.

We saw equally good performances from our horses in the three-year-old mare class. EKAROSA (Paris – Emandoria / Ecaho), trained by Paweł Kozikowski’s JP Training Centre, took second place, also scoring a very high 92.50 points. She was followed closely by PUSTYNIA WIKTORII (Dominic M – Pustynia Kahila / Kahil Al Shaqab), whose performance was rated at 90.80 points.
After the mares’ performances, it was time for the colts to compete. DYTWIN (Morion – Dama Róż / Vitorio TO) received very consistent scores from the judges, giving him a total score of 92.00 points. In the two-year-old stallion class, PARTES (Dominic M – Protekcja / Ekstern) performed equally well, taking second place with a score of 91.60 points.

The 4-6-year-old mare class also featured Michałów accents – mares bred in Michałów took first and second place. The winner was WIEŻA UCZUĆ (Medalion – Wieża Bajek / Abha Qatar), owned by Jarosław Zjeżdżałka and Andrzej Tyleda, with a score of 91.90 points, followed closely by EL MADERA (Morion – El Medonia / Shanghai E.A.), owned by Suweco Stud, with a score of 91.70 points.
The next class also belonged to a Michałów mare – this time WILDANOVA (WH Justice – Wilda / Gazal Al Shaqab) won confidently with a score of 92.50 points. Third place went to EMILIONA (Złoty Medal – Emily / Poganin), bred in Michałów and owned by Bogdan Mikołajczuk, whose performance was rated at 91.00 points.

In the class of the oldest mares, we cheered on POGANINKA (El Omari – Pentra / Poganin), whose good score of 92.00 points earned her third place. PTOLEMEUSZ (Złoty Medal – Parmana / Al Maraam) did not disappoint either, with his performance earning him 92.00 points and qualifying him for the championship.

Very successful performances in the classes resulted in medals in all championships – all 9 horses entered qualified for the championships, and as many as 6 returned with medals!

EPIFORANA (Mutabahi Al Hawajer – Espana / QR Marc) was already recognised in her first championship, winning the Bronze Medal. Her peer, DYTWIN (Morion – Dama Róż / Vitorio TO), did even better, winning the Gold Medal and the title of European Yearling Colt Champion.

In the junior mare championship, the three-year-old EKAROSA (Paris – Emandoria / Gazal Al Shaqab) won the Silver Medal and the title of Reserve Champion. In the parallel championship for younger colts, the two-year-old PARTES (Dominic M – Protekcja / Ekstern) repeated Ekarosa’s success, also winning the Silver Medal and the title of Reserve European Champion.

The Senior Mare Championship was sensationally won by WILDANOVA (WH Justice – Wilda / Gazal Al Shaqab), who took the Gold Medal and the title of European Champion, defeating very strong and titled rivals. Another very good performance was given by PTOLEMEUSZ (Złoty Medal – Parmana / Al Maraam), who returned from Bedizzole with the Silver Medal and the title of European Senior Stallion Reserve Champion.

It was certainly the most successful show of Michałów horses and our Polish-Italian team this year. The successes achieved during this year’s European Championships will certainly motivate us to continue our hard work in preparing the horses for the next season. In the meantime, we cordially invite everyone to Michałów for the next edition of the WINTER ARABIAN HORSE AUCTION, which will take place on 13 December!
