Yesterday,The first edition of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival has come to the end. Thanks to the online broadcast, prepared by the professional Arabian Essence team, we had the opportunity to admire the impressive, lavish event prepared with attention to the smallest details. The organizers have made great effort to ensure that the impressions of this event will remain in our memory for a long time.
On the starting list there were many horses bred by Michałów State Stud and now owned by breeders from all over the world.The winner of the 3-year-old fillies was EMARELLA (Sahm El Arab x Emandorella / Eden C), who is the granddaughter of the Platinum World Champion EMANDORIA (Gazal Al Shaqab x Emanda / Ecaho). EMARELLA received a high score of 92.42 points, which guaranteed her participation in the championship. During the Festival we had the opportunity to admire the progeny of our stallion EQUATOR (QR Marc x Ekliptyka / Ekstern). In the same 3-year-old fillies class, in which EMARELLA competed, EQUATOR’s daughter, MONA LISA ALJASSIMYA took third place with a high score of 92,17 and in the the 3-year-old colts class, his son MOMAYZ ALJASSIMYA was first with a score of 91, 33 points. The performances of MONA LISA ALJASSIMYA and MOMAYZ ALJASSIMYA prove that the stallions bred by Michałów State Stud are an important issue in breeding programs. The 7-10-year-old mares class was a real feast for Arabian horse lovers. In this age category, Michałów’s GALERIDA (Shanghai EA x Galilea / Laheeb) did not disappoint, beating her rivals with a score of 92.75 points. This wonderfully sophisticated mare was purchased by the current owner in 2019 during the Pride of Poland for EUR 400,000, which was the highest amount during the auction. Congratulations to the current owner of the mare, Al Thumama Stud! It was wonderful to see GALERIDA in the ring again!
In the oldest mares class (11+) PIACENZA (QR Marc x Primawera / Emigrant) took the second place with a score of 92.83 points. Congratulations to Al Shahaniya Stud!
