Prague, the picturesque capital of Chech Reublic, located on nine hills in the Vltava River valley, hosted breeders and lovers of Arabian horses at the annual Prague Intercup show. Once again the organizer did not disappoint expectations and guaranteed excellent impressions for everyone.
Seven horses, bred and owned by Michałów State Stud left for Prague and competed for the participation in Prague Intercup and the European Cup Championships on Sunday.
We started the show with the victory of bay EL MARIELLA (Morion x El Marina / Ganges) led by Artur Łojowski, who won the 1B yearling fillies class scoring 91.35 points.
In class 2B of two-year-old fillies we saw the performance of PUSTYNNA LILIA (Złoty Medal x Pustynna Kalia / Esparto), scored by the judges at 90.50 points, and in the next class, EL ESMERA (Sahm El Arab x Esmeraldia / QR Marc), who reached 90,40 points. Both PUSTYNNA LILIA and EL ESMERA were presented by Paweł Syliwoniuk.
In the yearling colts classes we saw PORTO RICO, the son of Złoty Medal (QR Marc x Złota Orda / Pesal) out of Parmania (Kahil Al Shaqab x Parmana / Al Maraam), who took third place in the class with a score of 90.35 points.
We started Sunday’s classes with the victory of the phenomenal daughter of the epochal stallion Ekstern (Monogramm x Ernestyna / Piechur) out of Pentra by Poganin, the mare PROTEKCJA, who delighted the judges and confidently won the class with a final score of 92.60 points, including five “20s” . In the same class, the chestnut EL BELLISIMA (Ascot DD x Ekliptyka / Ekstern) took third placewith a score of 91.60 points.
In the next class of 4-6 year old mares, POGANINKA (El Omari x Pentra / Poganin) did not disappoint, winning the class with a score of 92.25 points, with a well-deserved set of “20s” for movement.
The afternoon championships brought us more medal places to the collection. In the Prague Intercup Yearling Fillies Championship EL MARIELLA won a bronze medal, and in the European Cup Championship – a silver medal.
PORTO RICO after his Sturday performance qualified for the European Championships and won the title of the Second Reserve Champion. Grey EL ESMERA left Prague with the bronze medal of the European Cup, and PROTEKCJA was announced the Prague Intercup and the European cup Senior Reserve Champion Mare.
Of course, the award for the Highest Score in the Show went to PROTEKCJA, the award for the Best Movement was awarded to POGANINKA, and Michałów Stud received the title of Best European Breeder.
